Artist's Statement

     Albuquerque New Mexico is my home. I’m a first gen Emo Girl. My art practice is my greatest teacher. As an empath and a sensitive soul; art is medicine to me. I’m obsessed with the interplay of color and emotion. I see my life as my greatest artistic creation. If you’d like to know about my media, I’m not bound to any.​

 

     Through channeling I tap ancestral voices hearing divine wisdom that can heal. I’m particularly interested in the role of emotions towards culture and generational healing. I love how emotions can feel all powerful but somehow every time they transmute. I adore their intensity and how they electrify the mundane, the joy, and the sadness of our everyday lives. Their impermanence drives me obsessively to capture their fleeting nature like a rare butterfly hung in an entomologist's office. Once they’ve alchemized the memories reminds us what we’ve overcome and afford us the courage to face the next mountain.
