Patricia’s recent work explores the surrender required in the drip pour creative process. About her latest series, Topographic Teachings, she says. “It’s been a humbling lesson in letting go,”. The paint continues to move and shift with gravity long after she steps away, leaving the final composition as much a mystery to her as to the viewer.
 
In this body of work, she plays with the colors of maps, metallics, and greens of the US Dollar. This work invite questions about the incidous qualities of wealth. The greed that has festered pulling so many deeper into an insatiable hunger and unquenchable thirst.
 
Will it ever be enough? For how long have we allowed money to equal power + control? These paintings don’t offer answers. They hover in tension, asking quietly and insistently: What is the price that would buy your silence?
