Arts & Retreats

August 7–11, 2026 · 1 Hr From Santa Fe, New Mexico
Limited spots available for this small group experience.
You know what it cost you to get here. So does Patricia, our founder who dreamed this up years ago. Untamed was created by survivors, for survivors — women who've weathered physical, sexual, emotional, or financial abuse, narcissistic relationships, or the exhausting complexity of loving someone with BPD. The date of this retreat marks a milestone in Patricia's own healing journey, and she chose to honor it the only way that made sense: in community, in joy, and in the company of other extraordinary women.
On day three, we come together to create a public artwork honoring the divine feminine — a living testament to the power we've each forged through what we've overcome which will proudly display for the woman who come after us.
Why This Retreat Exists:
You deserve to receive more love than you give.
You were forged in fire. Now it's time to lead.
Your healing is the revolution future girls will thank you for.
Here's what we know about you: you've done the work. You've shown up, opened up, and tried to put words to something that often defies them.
You've sat across from therapists, leaned on friends and family, and watched their eyes glaze over — not from cruelty, but because what you survived is genuinely beyond what most people can hold.
We can hold it.
Untamed exists for women who are done shrinking their story to fit someone else's comfort level. For women who still hear the threats, the cutting words, the distorted version of reality they were fed for years. For women untangling estrangement, no contact, or the complicated grief of family relationships that were never safe to begin with.
You've spent long enough making other people comfortable with your pain. This is your turn.
The Journey — Day by Day
Four days. Heal. Create. Play. Rise. Together.
DAY ONE
Friday, August 7 · You've Arrived
You arrive maybe a little unsure. Maybe hopeful. You've said yes to something, and part of you isn't quite sure why — only that something in you knew you needed to.
Within the first hour, something begins to soften.
Shoes come off. Laughter ripples through the space — the unexpected, oh thank god kind of laughter that happens when you realize you don't have to explain yourself here. No one is masking. No one is performing ease they don't feel. No one is making themselves smaller to fit a room that was never built for them.
There is a small group of us. Which means nowhere to hide — and nothing to hide from.
We gather for a heart-opening circle, guided by Patricia, an artist and writer whose work lives at the intersection of creativity and alchemy. Her journaling prompts aren't stiff or clinical. They're handcrafted invitations — the kind that reach past your defenses before you realize they've moved. Stories spill out. Things you've carried quietly for years find their way into words, held gently by women who actually get it.
Dinner is shared family-style. Grounding and nourishing, the way food can be when you're finally not eating alone in the metaphorical sense.
Then comes the shedding. A ceremony to release what you've been carrying — the exhaustion of always translating yourself, the overstimulation you've normalized, the quiet grief of moving through a world that wasn't designed for the way your mind and heart work.
You go to sleep lighter than you have in a long time.

DAY TWO
Saturday, August 8 · Journey Day
You rise early, before the noise of thought has a chance to settle back in. The cold plunge waits — and the moment you enter it, something ancient in your nervous system snaps into clarity. You are here. Fully, undeniably here. In your body, which has been trying to tell you things for years.
What follows is the longest, deepest day. A six-hour journey inward — held, guided, witnessed by the three women beside you who are somewhere in it too. You fast. You go slow. You sit with what surfaces. For a nervous system that has spent decades on high alert, this kind of slowness is almost radical.
There's no rushing this part. No optimizing it. This is where the real work happens — in the hours that ask you to stay present when every trained instinct says manage, minimize, move on.
By evening, words feel small and unnecessary. You eat simply. You let the day move through you.
You go to sleep early, the way the body knows to do after it's finally been somewhere true.

DAY THREE
Sunday, August 9 · Recess Playtime
You wake up before sunrise and something is different. Looser. Almost electric. We'll start with a sunrise hike, and nature meditation.
Today is yours to play in — and for women who have spent most of their lives being too much or not enough, play is its own kind of medicine.
The hot tub. The laughter that builds on itself until no one can remember what started it. There's a workshop that doesn't feel like a workshop. The kind that quietly rearranges something in the way you've been seeing yourself.
Take an excursion to Patricia's art studio and get your hands working through a creative physical manifestation of the generational trauma you're breaking, leave old shame, guilt, and stigma on the wall and get it out of your body through emotional alchemy through art making. Support is here for all levels to make their marks. This mural will outlast the weekend. The women who come after you will see it. And the ones after them. A layered, living record of women who came here and let themselves be seen.
Fire in the evening, and the way firelight always makes people honest and close and unhurried.
And then almost imperceptibly, you begin to feel the approaching of an ending.
We prepare for goodbyes and our final night together.

DAY FOUR
Monday, August 10 · Good byes & The Return Home
You pack your things. But you're not leaving with what you came with. One last cup of something warm. A conversation you didn't plan to have but needed more than you knew.
And then you go home.
But home feels like a different word now. Friendships forged in honesty and ceremony through an experience no one else will ever understand. A perspective on your life that finally fits the shape of who you actually are. A memory of what it felt like to be in a room where your sensitivity wasn't a problem to manage but a gift that was recognized.
You are not the same woman who entered this space.
Check-out by 9am.

Patricia's Words
I believe our teachers and guides can only take us as far as they have walked in their own personal healing path. I'm intentional about who I trust in my own healing, choosing only people who have done the work themselves. I've built my team the same way: individuals who've faced their own truth and had the courage to walk their own path. Those who've acquired their gifts through lived experiences.
My work is not informed by textbooks, clinical sterility, or the rigidity and inflexibility of Western medicine. My work is rooted in compassion, connection, and reverence for the complexities of being human.
In "healing" spaces where people are left feeling unseen, not accommodated, or diminished, I offer a gentle in tuned approach that has led to profound healing.
Healing beyond my wildest dreams blending art, writing, plant medicine, ancient practices, modern research in innovative and impactful methods.
I'm experienced in healing complex trauma and difficult transformative experiences, including: depression, anxiety, sexual abuse, physical abuse, emotional abuse, narcissistic recovery, sobriety, chronic pain/autoimmune conditions, CPTSD, PTSD, and the loneliness and relational challenges of coming to awareness of neurodivergence as an adult.
I'd be happy to speak about your unique situation and explore if there is a good fit to work together. Regardless of the outcome, I'm always happy to share education, referrals, and further resources.

FAQ
Q: I've never been to a retreat before. Is this okay for beginners?
A: Absolutely. Many of our guests come to their first retreat with us. You don't need any prior experience with healing work, meditation, or group settings. We'll guide you through everything — before you even arrive, your prep coaching call will help you know exactly what to expect.
Q: I struggle in group settings. Will I be okay here?
A: This is probably the most gentle group setting you'll ever be in. Everyone here is wired similarly. There's no performing, no small talk pressure, no masking required. Silence is welcome. You're allowed to just exist. Connection tends to happen naturally, without anyone forcing it.
Q: What if I need alone time during the retreat?
A: Yes — intentionally built in. Rest and solitude are part of the design, not an afterthought. You will never be required to be "on" for the full four days.
Q: Where exactly is the retreat located?
A: We gather at a private property in the mountains just outside of Albuquerque, New Mexico, surrounded by high desert landscape and open sky. We'll share the exact address after you reserve your spot.
Q: What should I bring?
A: We'll send you a full packing list during your preparation period. In general: comfortable layers for cool desert mornings and warm afternoons, something you don't mind getting paint on, and an open heart. Everything else we'll take care of.
"Your own healing is
the greatest message of hope for others."

If you've been waiting for permission to take up space like this — this is it.
You've spent long enough shrinking to fit into rooms not built for you.
Four days in the New Mexico mountains. Four women who finally get it. A meteor shower overhead and the desert stretching wide around you.
You'll leave with language for your brain, tools for your nervous system, and a circle of women who see you as a treasure, not a problem to solve.
Only 4 spots. August xx–xx, 2026.
You've spent your whole life learning to live in a world that wasn't designed for your mind. For four days in August, let's reverse that.
